Community & Marketplace Guidelines

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These guidelines explain the standards expected from people and organisations that publish listings, submit demand requests, communicate offers or otherwise contribute content to EcoTrade Hub.

1. Be accurate and transparent

Listings, demand requests, offers and other marketplace content should describe the relevant product, material, quantity, condition, location and commercial information honestly. Do not misrepresent ownership, availability, verification, certifications or transaction terms.

2. Only offer items you are authorised to trade

Users are responsible for ensuring that they are legally entitled to offer, request, transport or otherwise transact in the goods or materials they publish on EcoTrade Hub. Regulated or environmentally sensitive materials must be handled in accordance with applicable law and safety requirements.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Illegal goods, services or transactions.
  • Stolen goods or goods that a user is not authorised to sell.
  • Counterfeit goods, fraudulent listings or deliberately misleading product or material claims.
  • Weapons, explosives or other dangerous items where listing or trade would be unlawful or unsafe.
  • Controlled drugs, illicit substances or other prohibited regulated products.
  • Hazardous chemicals, hazardous waste or controlled environmental materials offered without the permissions, safeguards or handling arrangements required by applicable law.
  • Content that promotes fraud, scams, impersonation, payment diversion or deceptive off-platform activity.
  • Hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually exploitative or abusive content.
  • Content that exposes another person's private information without a lawful basis or permission.
  • Spam, malware, malicious links or attempts to interfere with EcoTrade Hub systems.
  • Listings or content that infringe intellectual-property or other legal rights.

4. Respect other marketplace participants

Do not harass, threaten, deceive or pressure another participant. Do not use marketplace interactions to obtain information that is not reasonably needed for the transaction.

5. Protect transactions

Do not attempt to manipulate orders, payment references, delivery records, disputes, verification status or other platform controls. If a transaction has a problem, use the available support or dispute process instead of falsifying information.

6. Reporting concerns

If you believe a listing, user or marketplace interaction violates these guidelines, report the issue through the reporting controls provided in the platform where available or contact EcoTrade Hub Support.

7. Enforcement

EcoTrade Hub may review, reject, restrict or remove marketplace content and may restrict or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce platform rules, protect users, investigate suspected abuse or comply with applicable law. Serious matters may be referred to relevant authorities where required or appropriate.

8. Relationship with the Terms

These guidelines supplement the EcoTrade Hub Terms and do not replace obligations imposed by applicable law or transaction-specific requirements.
